The School of Engineering & Technology programs are application focused degrees.   Our School is proud to offer the unique program selections of all programs in the country. These programs combine theoretical coursework heavily reinforced with hands-on laboratory experiences and project work with a focus on the application of engineering principles. If you learn by doing, the inquiry-based, applied-learning methodology of our engineering  programs may be the right choice for you.

As part of our commitment to our community of Cameroon and the world, the School of Engineering and Technology offers certificate degree programs which can be offered to anyone with a desire to learn.  We believe in open access to anyone with a willingness to learn.  Our certificate programs are offered through the School of Vocational Training and administered by the the School of Engineering and Technology. 


Great design isn’t just about aesthetics. It’s also about understanding your audience and their needs. Whether you’re designing a website, a physical product, or a customer experience, design thinking is an innovative approach to design that involves applied creativity, prototyping and experimentation.

Students in the Engineering Technology program will become skilled technicians who will work with engineers and other technicians to design, implement and support engineering processes. Students will learn about collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data and troubleshooting complex systems in all courses. HIPDET prepares you to apply engineering principles and technical skills to analyze and find practical solutions at the point of production.

Civil engineers design, construct, operate and maintain the physical fabric of society. In doing so, civil engineers work toward continuous improvement of the human condition and natural environment, tackling many of the grand challenges that face humankind today. Much of the work of civil engineers is highly visible, such as roadways, bridges, airports, levees, buildings, bike paths, and city parks, while other parts are rarely seen but equally vital to the health of communities, such as the water and wastewater treatment, distribution, and collection systems or the energy infrastructure. Civil engineers keep human beings safe by designing resilient infrastructure that does not fail in extraordinary events, but that is also socially, economically, and environmentally sustainable.
