As part of our commitment to our community of Cameroon and the world, the School of Computer & Information Sciene offers certificate degree programs which can be offered to anyone with a desire to learn.  We believe in open access to anyone with a willingness to learn.  Our certificate programs are offered through the School of Vocational Training and administred by the the School of Computer & Information Science. 


Our 30-hour Digital Literacy Certificate program helps students engage in the digital world with instruction ranging from computer security/privacy to email to social networking. Students will learn the basics of computing, how to engage in a digital workplace and how to conduct computing basics at home. Through this course, students learn how to perform both basic computer and Internet tasks.

The Network Security program provides a firm foundation in cybersecurity while also providing the flexibility for students to customize their degree according to their specific areas of interest. As an example, students may earn a Digital Forensics Concentration by choosing six Security Elective Courses. While the Security Core and Security Electives provide a technical foundation for the student, the General Education and Support cores provide the student with the soft skills necessary for a well-rounded education.

A Bachelor of Science in Software engineering is different from computer science in that students learn hard skills in designing, configuring, and utilizing software. Many programs require students to take foundational courses in both engineering and computer sciences while working toward this degree. Technology is the way of the world! Millions of people use the internet every day through many different mediums, and they are perfect for those who have earned their degree in software engineering.
